This place is a little old-fashioned, but they get the job done. The service is always nice and the food is great. I think they could benefit from a nice deep cleaning (walls and chair rails). However, Wayside is great to grab some food at.

Our 1st experience and not a bad one. Very clean atmosphere. Excellent service, very good homemade food. I had one of the Thursday specials, " The Ruben Sandwich, Fries and added a house salad, the sandwich was large and filled. The thousand island was on the side. Have i had better, honestly yes, but this Ruben was in the top 5. The lettuce salad arrived in a small plastic dish with 1 cucumber slice a 1 grape tomato, ( which I cut in two ) lol. Price: $3.50, ouch. My wife ordered chopped steak, med well w/ Fries and house salad. It arrived hot and still juicy. She stated: very good. The menu variety is good and reasonable prices, except the gold salad. Wayside offers many daily specials to choose from and a senior and kids menus. I might add, finish your experience with a piece of the chefs homemade cheesecake. I give it a rating of 4. When we're in the area again. Sure we will make plans to patronize again. Thanks all.

Sunday lunch. Big crowd. 15 min wait to be seated. Ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant with fries. Sweet tea was good. Sandwich was good but kind of small. Fries were hot but unseasoned. No malt vinegar available so settled for ketsup. Partner ordered peanut butter pie as dessert to go. Typical small rural eatery. Popular with locals. Not bad but not particularly good. Sorry about the food pic. I took a bite before I remembered to take the pic.
